Whatsapp has become a very popular Instant messaging app in the world. The previous year was not very good for Whats-app as it had to face many accusation and charges in the Indian court related to privacy leak of customers and it's users. In response to these charges Whats-app changed its T&Cs and rolled out several new features like end-to-end encryption to tighten its security and make their users feel more secure about their chats.
Their was also a hidden feature called "Show security notification" under setting>>accounts>>security that informed that user every time his account was linked on any other device.
Yesterday Whats app rolled out two-step verification to all its users. This step is to ensure more security for the users. If enabled, then the user will have to enter a SIX-DIGIT pin code that only he or she will know while setting up their account on any other device. According to WhatsApp, this feature has improved the overall security of their users. Great!
