Wi-Fi range has troubled everyone, some time or the other . You may have yourself even thought Why is mine Wi-Fi range so poor even though I have latest router, all updates, newest technologies....
It's because you have not placed your router in correct area. Here are some tips and tricks you must keep in mind while placing router in your home.
TIPS WHILE PLACING A ROUTER
- Do not have your router near a bunch of magnets or a microwave, or beside your electric fuse box, all of these things can interrupt and interfere with your signal.
- Make sure to place it in a central location away from other electronics that may interrupt the signal.
- Make sure the antenna is kept straight up and down and find a high spot if at all possible.
- Try to buy a 5Ghz compatible router.
Do It Yourself tricks

This is DIY Tin Can antenna directing trick. Here you can cut a soda can into two parts (keep some little portion intact) and fit the upper lead into the antenna's hole.
Other wifi boosts include these DIY variations:
- Using a soda bottle and some tin foil.
- Transforming a Coffee Can into a Wifi Boost
- Capture broadcasted wireless signal with a pot or pan
If all else fails then …
